Math Problems /Reminders

Complete these problem in your math notebooks.
Due Tomorrow (October 24, 2017)

11.     Paige's school is trying to raise $2000 for UNICEF.  They ran a car wash over two   weekends. They charged $3.00 to wash a car. In four days, they washed 87, 104, 77   and 124 cars. How much more money do they need to raise to reach their goal of   $2000? How many more cars will they need to wash?
    Show your work/thinking.

2.    A bird collector wants to buy 100 budgies and wants to spend as close to       $100 as possible.  Blue budgies cost $10 each, green budgies cost $3,           and yellow budgies cost 50 cents each.  The collector wants to purchase       at least one budgie of each colour.  How many blue, green and yellow           budgies could he buy?

The key to solving math problems is to identify what the question is asking and use the proper computation to find the answer.
Some times multiple computations are needed to solve parts of the problem.
