Things to keep in mind
A pattern is a group of numbers, shapes, or objects that follow a rule while repeating or changing.
Increasing Pattern ( look at addition or multiplication)
Decreasing Pattern (subtraction)
Ex. 2,4,6,8,10,...
Start at 2 and add 2 each time.
Patterns may alternate from one operation to another
Ex. 3, 10, 6, 60, 56, 560, ...
Pattern Rule: Start at 3 multiply by 10, then subtract 4 from the next number, repeat these steps
